The fundraising campaign to acquire a new electrical sign for the community received another big donation last week.
The Elgin Community Foundation met last week and the consensus was, according to ECF President Todd Heithoff, to award a grant in the amount of $2,500 towards the new sign. Created several years ago, the Elgin Community Foundation issues grants every year from interest generated by donations through the Nebraska Community Foundation.
