ELGIN — In a game of ‘big’ plays, Bloomfield edged the Elgin Eagles 28 to 16 Thursday night.

Having been held scoreless in a season-opening loss to Wynot, Elgin entered the game with a renewed sense of purpose and it showed as they rallied from a two-touchdown deficit in the first half to take the lead.
