What started as a small child’s dream written on a simple piece of paper at grandma and grandpa’s house has come full circle for Elgin native Whitney Sprout-Tramp.
While Whitney originally enrolled at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) as a pre-med major, something was tugging her to go in a slightly different direction. It was the same something that was put to that piece of paper years ago.
“I had veterinarian medical plans that were drawn up when I was seven or eight,” she remembered. That piece of paper was still safely put away at her grandma’s house.
So began the journey that brought her back to her home area.
