Donations are starting to come in for the Elgin Area Community Foundation’s (EACF) annual scholarship drive.
Donations are now being accepted for scholarships to be awarded to graduating seniors from Elgin High School and Pope John XXIII Central Catholic High School.
Persons making donations so far are: Karen Eischeid (In Memory of Paul Eischeid), Dean’s Market, Jim & Chris Redding, Jack & Mardelle Blair, Leonard & Ann Beckman, Juan Hoefer, Jerry Tunink, David & Janice Eischeid, Genny Henn, John & Jeanne Knievel, Bob & Sue Schiltmeyer, Jim and Betty Getzfred, Charlie & Shelley Bode, Bertha Farris, Bob & Karen Koenig, Todd & Melissa Heithoff, and Kyle & Deb Warren.
To date, $835 has been collected for local scholarships.
Altogether, 70 students have benefitted from the scholarship drive since its inception 10 years ago.
