District #18 to Hold Off on Superintendent Interviews

The scheduled dates for interviews to be held to find a new superintendent for School District #18 have been pushed back.

School Board President Laurie Waterbury announced last week the initial dates for the interviews, February 14 & 15, have been pushed back.

Working with the Nebraska Association of School Boards (NASB), District #18 hopes the delay will result in more candidates to choose from to replace Superintendent Steve Dennis. Dennis’ contract will expire at the end of June. He submitted his resignation to the board last December.

“The board agreed to hold off because we felt this was important,” Waterbury said about the decision to seek more applicants.
