Mildred A. Stott, 76 of Petersburg, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.
Memorial Services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Petersburg,  with Father Mark Tomasiewicz officiating.
Inurnment will follow at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Petersburg.
Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until service time.

Mildred Ann Stott, the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Dohmen) Jasper was born on May 21, 1940 at Humphrey, NE. She attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Platte Center until the 8th grade.  Mildred then attended St. Francis High School in Colorado Springs, CO.
On February 10, 1961 Mildred was united in marriage to Floyd Veik at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Platte Center, NE. To this union Kevin, Kimberly, Kaylyn, and Kristine were born. The couple lived in Platte Center and Omaha where Mildred worked at various jobs.Mildred married Kenneth Stott on September 17, 1981 in Elko, Nevada.
The couple lived in Iowa, Florida, and currently in Petersburg. They were team truck drivers for 17 years before retirement in 2002.
Mildred was a member of the Legion Riders Club. She has traveled to all 50 states, she loved to play cards and dominos with her family, and also loved driving her convertible and participating in Poker Runs.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth of Petersburg; 4 children: Kevin (Sally) Veik of Columbus; Kimberly Johnson of Belgrade; Kaylyn (Scott) Preister of Petersburg; Kristine Kelley of Lindsay; 12 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 brother: Dennis Jasper of Stromsburg; 5 sisters: MaryAnn Happ of Columbus; Marlene (Bert) Feik of Columbus; Betty (Virgil) Pilakowski of Platte Center; Dorothy Brandt of Humphrey; Joan (Warren) Schwanebeck of Monroe; 2 sisters-in-law Betty Jasper of Platte Center; and Betty Jasper of Denver, CO; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters and their spouses: Rose (Dave) Mohr, Helen (Norman) Shanle; 3 brothers: Clem, Ken, and James Jasper; brothers-in-law: Bob Happ, Glen Brandt, and Bob Weber, sister-in-law Dixie Jasper.
