Eleanor C. “Nora” Henn 102, of Petersburg, Nebraska died Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at the Mid-Nebraska Lutheran Home in Newman Grove, NE.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, August 17, 2012, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Petersburg, with Fr. Stan Schmit officiating.  Interment followed at the parish cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.levanderfuneralhome.com.

Eleanor Cathryn Henn, daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (Vogel) Parr, was born April 3, 1910 at Howells, NE. She was baptized at St. John’s Catholic Church in Howells, NE, confirmed at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Raeville, NE and attended school in Raeville, NE thru the eighth grade.
On September 29, 1931, Nora was united in marriage to Delbert F. Henn at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Elgin, NE. They made their home and farmed in the Raeville area for three years before moving to Petersburg, NE where they built and operated the Knotty Pine and owned and operated Henn’s Service Station for many years. While in Petersburg, she served for 10 years as the St. John’s School Librarian.
Nora was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Petersburg, St. John’s Altar Sodality, St. John’s Choir, Petersburg Senior Citizens Center, a past president of the Christian Mothers, and served on the Senior Center Board of Directors for two years.  She also belonged to the ABC Extension Club, was in the Happy Kids Band, and was a member of a card club.  Nora enjoyed quilting, crocheting, gardening, and traveling to Port Aransas, Texas during the winters for 20 years.
She is survived by four children: Maurice Henn of Petersburg, NE; Duane (Marilyn) Henn of Kimberling City, MO; Donna (Bud) Ketteler of Petersburg, NE; Marlene McClinton of Omaha, NE; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Jerome Ketteler; sister-in-law Germaine Julich; special friend Jannelle Henn; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Nora was preceded in death by her parents; husband Delbert in 1976; one daughter: LaVonne; step-father: Tony Bode; four brothers: Maurice, Edward, Walter, and Julius Parr; three sisters: Philomena Schlerz, Freda Beha, Helen Daughtery; son-in-law Bob McClinton; daughter-in-law Mary Henn; granddaughter Deb Wiseman; grandson-in-law Bob Belgum.
