Sunday, May 3 there will be a benefit for Dean Kerkman. Dean has been fighting lung cancer since September and is losing the battle. All funds raised will go towards medical bills. Thrivent Lutheran will be matching funds raised. There will be a Silent Auction, sloppy joe meal and cake walk. All will be held in the Newman Grove high school gym. Much help is still needed in way of posters, advertising, dessert plates, hamburger, buns, chips, pop and ice. Help is also needed preparing the food, setting up for the benefit, serving the food and clean up. If you can help in any way or if you have an item you would like to donate for the Silent Auction, please contact Lila Pieper at 402-719-6491. Thrivent Lutheran members are also needed to volunteer.
Also, cards and well wishes can be mailed to Dean and Cheryl Kerkman at PO Box 421, Newman Grove NE 68758. What the family requests most is prayer.
