‘Shopping Day For Kids’ will be held Wednesday, Dec. 7, in Elgin. It will run from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the KC Hall. Children will have the opportunity to shop for mom, dad, brothers, sisters and even grandparents, picking out what they want to give. Adults will be supervising all the children while they select their gifts.
The gifts will then be wrapped and ready to bring home to put under the Christmas tree.
Prices on the gifts will vary from less than $1 to $10 a gift.
Beginning at 2 p.m., there will be vendor booths set up. Adult shopping at the booths will run from 2 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Kids shopping times will be from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Children will be able to visit Santa Claus from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The Park Center Church Women will again provide a lunch stand for all ages, beginning at 4 p.m. and running till 7:45 p.m.
The event is being sponsored by the Elgin Community Club.
