Craft Fair Preparations Underway

Organizers for the 33rd annual Elgin Fall Festival Craft and Products Fair are ramping up for this year’s event, just two and one-half weeks away. And they are excited!
According to co-chairperson Margaret Jensen (with Linda Kerkman), attendees will see several new faces at the event. “We have at least 11 new crafters in the gym this year,” she said. They also have seven new home-based product vendors this year. These “newbies” will be joining crafters/vendors who have been here before. “Some crafters were new to us last year,” she added, “and others have displayed their crafts at the Fall Festival for many years.”
The fair has long be known for hosting quality crafters. “Our veteran crafters have a history of providing a wide variety of well made items to satisfy those looking for a truly unique gift,” notes Jensen. “And I expect the new crafters will follow that trend.”
These crafters come from near and far. Some of the crafters are local. Others will travel quite distance to join us, including some from out of state.
Customers will find everything from bibs and blankets to wreathes and wraps; seasonal and decorative items for the home.
Other items include hand made wood items, hand made jewelry, clothing for all ages, garden items, quilted items, dolls and doll clothes.
All the booth spaces are full again this year with vendors on a waiting list.
