Clarice J. Luettel, 90, of Albion, NE passed away Friday, September 14, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Society in Albion, NE.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Friday September 21, 2018 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Albion, NE with Fr. Mark Tomasiewicz officiating.
Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the church with a 7 p.m. wake service.
Levander Funeral Home of Albion is in charge of arrangements.

Clarice Josephine Luettel, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Henkenius) Leibel was born December 17, 1927 at Elgin.
She attended Rural District #82 thru the eighth grade and graduated from St. Boniface School in 1944.
On September 14, 1948, Clarice was united in marriage to Florian W. Luettel at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Elgin.
Following their marriage, they lived near Petersburg before purchasing a farm east of Albion in 1956.
Clarice worked alongside her husband Florian farming and raising livestock.
In 2002 Clarice and Florian retired from the farm and moved into their home in Albion, later entering the Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan Center in February of 2014.
Clarice was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Albion, St. Michael’s Christian Mothers and the quilting group.
She was proficient with a needle and could sew, embroider, and tat lace in addition to quilting. She enjoyed going with her sister Margie on an Alaskan Cruise and traveling with her sister Lois to Las Vegas with their husbands as well as visiting her brother-in-law Greg in Minnesota. Her favorite trip was going with Florian to Hawaii.
She is survived by a niece Eileen Lechner Phillips (Scott Phillips) of Lawrence, KS; nephews: Jim (Jan) Lechner and Rob (Michelle) Lechner of Omaha, NE; John (Mindie) Lechner of Oronoco, MN; great nieces Sarah Norwood of Omaha, Daphne (Austin) Reynolds of Leavenworth, KS and Molly Lechner of Oronoco, MN; great nephews Jared (Alex) Norwood of Phoenix, AZ; Colin Phillips of Beaumont, TX; Mike (Kendra) Norwood, Reed Lechner, Jeff Lechner and Jackson Lechner all of Omaha, and Joey Lechner of Oronoco, MN; brothers-in-law: Flavian (Pat) Luettel of Albion, NE, Bernard Luettel of Omaha, NE; sister-in-law; Mary (Henry) Starman of Albion, NE; along with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Florian; sisters: Marjorie Leibel; Lois N. Lechner and an infant sister; brother: Francis ‘Bud’ Leibel; niece and goddaughter Mary Jo Lechner Nordman; brothers-in-law: Joseph M. Lechner; Clem (Frances) Luettel; Lawrence (Florence) Luettel; Greg (Phil) Luettel; LaVern Luettel, Alvin (Mildred) Luettel; sisters- in-law: Martha Luettel; Emma (Joe) Koch; Marcella (George) Stokes; Stella (Harold) Stokes; Darlene Luettel; and Jean Luettel.
