City Council To Meet Monday Night

The Elgin City Council will hold its regular monthly meeting on Monday night, August 3.
Items on the tentative agenda are:
• New water well updates
• Approval of Meis sub-division
• Bid for fire hall furnace
• CORE group presentation (8 p.m.)
• Action on Ordinance #640 (allowing golf carts on City streets)
• Action on increase of salary for Jeanette Meis for extra cleaning of park bathrooms
• Administrative policy for determination of potentially dangerous dogs
• Proposed annual wage ordinance #641
• Household hazardous waste pickup on Sept. 12 at a cost of $200
• Special meeting on August 12 at noon for presentation of proposed pool project
• Budget workshop date
• September meeting date
• Building permits — Terry and Reah Benes
Also a number of reports will be given (attorney, sheriff’s, maintenance, pool, trash/recycling, treasurer, etc.).
The meeting, open to the public, will begin at 7:30 p.m.
