‘Cinderella Steps’ To Be Reconstructed At EPS

One of the features of Elgin Public Schools, the ‘Cinderella Steps’ on the southwest corner of the school property, will soon be getting a much-needed ‘facelift.’
Meeting Thursday night, the District #18 Board of Education approved the reconstruction of the ‘Cinderella Steps’ to be undertaken later this year. The steps, a popular site for class photos through the years, have seen their better days.
According to Superintendent Dan Polk, the stairs will be reconstructed to the existing design during the summer months. Completion is expected prior to the start of the 2014-15 school year.
