Looking ahead, preparations are now underway for the annual Elgin Chamber of Commerce Steak Fry to be held Saturday, Aug. 15, at Flobert Springs.
Social hour will begin at 6 p.m. with the steak dinner to be served at 7 p.m. Tickets are still available from Chamber members and can also be purchased at Dean’s Market and the Elgin Pharmacy. The cost is $15 for a single, $30 for two. Tickets must be presented to be served at the steak fry.
