Chamber Discusses Upcoming Holiday Season

Nick Allemang, owner of Elgin Body and Glass, was presented a ‘First Dollar’ during the meeting held at the Steel Steed Steakhouse & Saloon.

Club members agreed to retain the current officers for another year. Tharnish will continue as president, Gary Arehart as vice president and Betty Kallhoff as secretary/treasurer.

As in past years, Chamber members will again participate in a Turkey Give-A-Way. The drawing will be held on Monday afternoon, Nov. 24. The Chamber will look into entering a float in the Christmas parade to be held at Neligh on Sunday, Nov. 30. Other items discussed at the meeting was the possibility of businesses hosting an ‘after hours’ social event. Also discussed was the annual Kid’s Christmas Shopping Day to be held in December.

The November meeting will be held on Nov. 24 at the Steel Steed. Social hour will begin at 6 p.m. with dinner and the meeting to follow at 7 p.m.
