Bulldogs Bite EPPJ 52 to 16

CREIGHTON — Fireworks.
That could be the word to describe Creighton’s offense in a 52 to 16 victory over Elgin Public-Pope John Friday night.
The Wolfpack showed vast improvement in all phases of the game, but were not able to keep up with Pete Liska & Co. as the Bulldogs posted their second consecutive victory over EPPJ.
The Bulldogs scored on their first play from scrimmage when quarterback Colton Boelter connected with Liska on a 65-yard touchdown pass. Just 10 seconds had ticked off the clock and Creighton had a 6 to 0 lead.
The Bulldogs would add two more touchdowns before the end of the quarter to take a 22-point lead. The second touchdown came on their second possession when Liska capped a 41-yard drive with a 39-yard touchdown on a pass from Austin Diedrichsen.
