For high school football standouts Josh Beckman and Andrew Bauer, this week is HUGE!
They will join the best football players from across the state to play in the 2009 Shrine Bowl Saturday night at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln.
On the sacred turf where the Huskers play before 85,000 fans, Bauer, Beckman and their teammates will square off at 6:30 p.m.
The Shrine Bowl of Nebraska and 2009 Head Coaches Mark Brahmer from Pierce and Jeff Gross from McCook selected the players to play in the game.
Two local athletes, one from Elgin High School and one from Pope John Central Catholic, were chosen to play one more game with the best football players from across the state.
