Bauer Announces Hiring Of New Extension Educator

A new extension educator for Antelope County was hired last week.
Dennis Bauer, associate district director — Northeast District, said Elizabeth Slack was hired on Friday, July 10, to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Anita Hall earlier this year.
Slack, who has a degree in dietetics from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and a masters degree from Cornell University, is a native of Park Falls, Wis.
“This is exciting for me and Antelope County to get somebody hired in short order after Anita’s retirement,” Bauer said Tuesday morning. “All the paperwork is finally done. She is to report to work on July 20 (Monday). … Just in time for the Antelope County Fair. It will be good for her to experience the fair and meet people.”
Seven applied for the position which, Bauer said, was a high number.
