Bartak Presented ‘Educator Of The Year’ Award By Archdiocese

The Archdiocese of Omaha honored eight outstanding educators on Thursday, September 12th at the 36th Annual Archbishop’s Dinner for Education, which was held at the Embassy Suites – La Vista.
Recognized as one of two ‘Educators of the Year’ was Mary Bartak of Pope John XXIII Central Catholic High School, Elgin,
Mrs. Bartak teaches seventh grade math, general math, seventh grade world history, 10th grade world history, freshman theology and a college-credit American history at Pope John XXIII Central Catholic School in Elgin.
In addition to being a mother of five children, wife to a busy farmer, she also oversees a myriad of after-school activities like Junior Class sponsor, asst. track coach, quiz bowl coach and sometimes bus driver.
