American Legion Auxiliary Elgin Unit #229 has announced the local students who will attend Cornhusker Girls State in Lincoln.
Representing Elgin at Girls State will be Sharla Schindler, a junior at Elgin High School and Morgan Childers, a junior at Pope John Central Catholic (PJCC) High School. Named as an alternate was Baylie Schiltmeyer who attends PJCC.
