Plant a tree for Arbor Day. The Elgin Public and St. Boniface Kindergarten students planted an October Glory maple tree in the Centennial Garden. The Young ‘n Lively Club members Deb Warren, Connie Dvorak and Patricia Miller informed the students about Arbor Day and then demonstrated the correct way to plant a tree. After the tree was planted, the students were given a ponderosa pine seedling that was donated by the NRD.
