NELIGH — There was plenty of competition Saturday at the Neligh-Oakdale Invitational. The Wolfpack managed to earn six medals. Bringing home the ‘gold’ were wrestlers Nathan Anderson and Anthony Hemenway. Anderson had three pins en route to winning the 135-pound class. Hemenway wrestled four times and recorded three pins as he won his weight class.
At 103 pounds, Brett Kinney finished third. Earning sixth place medals were Jared Seier (injury default), Shane Vanis and Derek Henn (due to match limitation).
“We had a few ‘mental’ breakdowns on Saturday, but, overall, we continue to improve,” Coach Doug Jones said about the Wolfpack’s performance.
