AMH Caring Kind Award Recipient Announced

Karol Michael, LPN, is the 2012 Caring Kind Award Winner of Antelope Memorial Hospital. She was recognized for the award on Wednesday, May 9 dur-ing National Hospital Week.
Each year the Nebra-ska Hospital Association honors em-ployees from hos-pitals acr-oss the state as “Caring Kind” employees. The honored employee must exemplify the spirit of someone who gives that “something special” to others.
Karol was nominated and selected by her fellow AMH employees to win this prestigious award. Her nominations reflected the many positive qualities she brings to work each day.
Karol has been employed at Antelope Memorial Hospital for 15 years as a LPN.
Karol’s nomination describes her as someone that everyone loves and stops to visit with whenever they see her. She never complains and would never say an unkind word about anyone. She attends to the patient and family’s every need with kindness in her voice, patience and a smile on her face. She is also helpful to her co-workers and keeps the supervisor updated on her patients. She is very deserving and truly exemplifies AMH’s mission statement… healing body, mind and spirit.
“I am truly honored to receive this award,” said Karol. “However, I couldn’t have done it without all the great nurses that I work with. We have a great staff here. Plus, all of our departments work well together ? it’s a team effort. It is a blessing to be a part of AMH and to work with all the caring nurses and staff.”
