AMH ‘Biggest Loser’ Winners Announced

“The AMH Biggest and Best Loser Contest was awesome and provided me a great incentive to lose weight,” said Danielle Mortensen. “Normally, I am not competitive. However, each week I liked being toward the top of the list for weight loss — so I worked hard to stay at the top and kept losing weight. I also loved the exercise class and the support that Natalie and Cassie offered. It really helped. Plus, I have literally changed my diet by eating more fruits, vegetables and lean meats. Overall, the contest was very helpful for me in making lifestyle changes and I would definitely recommend it to others.”
The contest was held from January 13th – March 20th for 10 weeks, coordinated by Natalie McKillip, AMH Wellness Director, and Cassie Schindler, AMH Wellness Assistant. A total of 1,664 pounds was collectively lost by the 165 contestants, to include 85 individuals and 20 teams. Three divisions were held for men, women and teams. Danielle was the first-place winner in the Women’s Division, losing 13.42% of her total body weight. Other women’s winners included ? second-place: Lisa Payne (Neligh) and third place: Casey Busteed (Elgin).
