Alvin E. “Butch” Arends 64, of Petersburg, NE, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012 at The Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 10, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Petersburg with Fr. Stan Schmit officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery with military rites conducted by the Petersburg American Post #334. Visitation will be 4:00 – 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church with a 7:30 p.m. wake service. Visitation will resume Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the Church.
