Beginning in 2014, the Affordable Care Act makes health care available to an estimated 196,000 Nebraskans who have not been covered by a health plan. Open enrollment in health plans ends March 31, 2014.
The health care law provides access to people who have a pre-existing condition, creates new market places that allows insurers to offer more affordable coverage and provides tax credits to lower the cost of coverage.
