Nebraska Brass To Perform Sunday In Albion

The Albion Area Arts Council will welcome the holiday season with a concert by the popular brass quintet, Nebraska Brass, on Sunday, Dec. 7 at 3 p.m. in the Boone Central Gym in Albion.
Founded in 1987, the Nebraska Brass is one of the Midwest’s most popular brass quintets. Audiences young and old enjoy serious musicianship and light-hearted humor as the group presents a variety of music ranging from classical to popular, including Dixieland and jazz.
The Nebraska Brass is comprised of musicians with a wealth of experience in both classical and commercial idioms. Members have performed with ensembles such as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Nashville Symphony, Strategic Air Command Band (USAF) and Mannheim Steamroller. In addition, members have toured and performed throughout the United States, Australia, Europe, South America, Japan, and the Caribbean with numerous musical ensembles.
Prior to their concert, Nebraska Brass will do a workshop with local music students.
This event has been made possible by the generous support of Marilee and Delbert Niewohner of Albion.
Admission is $15 for adults and $5 for children with Arts Council members admitted free-of-charge.
