Santa Coming To Elgin December 3

As if last week’s snowstorm didn’t remind everyone that Winter and Christmas were fast approaching, then next week will surely put everyone in the holiday spirit.
The annual Kid’s Shopping & Christmas Fair, sponsored by the Elgin Community Club, will be held on Wednesday evening, Dec. 3, at the Knights of Columbus Hall.
Santa is scheduled to arrive atop one of the Elgin Volunteer Fire Department’s fire trucks, at approximately 6 p.m. He will be on stage to greet children and pose for pictures til 7:30 p.m. that night.
There will be numerous gift items which can be purchased. These ‘cash & carry’ items will be available for purchase from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Soup, sandwiches and food bars will be served by the women of Park Center Church, starting at 4 p.m. and continuing throughout the evening.
There will also be kid’s shopping vendors, allowing youngsters an opportunity to pick out something for mom and dad.
