Delores A. Bode, 90 of Raeville passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Heritage of Bel Air Care Home in Norfolk.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, November 3, 2014 at St. Bonaventure Church in Raeville, with Rev. Ross Burkhalter officiating.
Interment followed in the parish cemetery. Huffman-Levander Funeral Home of Elgin was in charge of arrangements.

Delores Ann Bode, daughter of Joseph and Clara (Preusser) Klein, was born July 19, 1924 on the family farm north of Raeville.
She was baptized and confirmed at St. Bonaventure Church and attended school at St. John Berchman School in Raeville. Following school, she moved to Omaha, where she worked as a nanny for a few years.
After returning to Raeville, she joined a band and played accordion for dances in surrounding towns.
On October 16, 1945, Delores married Raymond Bode at St. Bonaventure Church in Raeville.
The couple made their home on a farm west of Raeville, where they raised their 11 children and farmed.
Raymond passed away in 1997 and Delores continued living on the farm until October 2009, when she entered Heritage of Bel Air Care Home in Norfolk.
Delores was a member of St. Bonaventure Church, St. Bonaventure Christian Mothers and was organist at the church for many years.
She was a great cook and her homemade bread was a specialty. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, but her greatest loves were her family, music and prayer.
She is survived by her 11 children: Marilyn Reestman of Elgin; Joseph Bode of Raeville; Jeanette (Dick) Thiem of Ashland; Janice (Terry) Henn of Elgin; Ralph (Jeanette) Bode of Raeville; Joyce (Ken) Reestman of Elgin; Donna (Jerome) Brester of Howells; Roger (Roxanne) Bode of O’Fallon, MO; Doris (Fred) Dederman of Norfolk; Ronald (Liane) Bode of Elgin; Laurie (Les) Stratman of Omaha; 21 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four sisters: Alfreda Pelster of Neligh; Arlene Jochum of Sutherland; Reola Pelster of Petersburg; Betty (Don) Mannlein of Albion; two sisters-in-law: Rosemond Klein of Petersburg;  Marjorie Bode of Raeville;  one brother-in-law: Louis Czech of Minnesota; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents; husband Raymond; and son-in-law Ron Reestman.
