Q125 Car Show Rescheduled

There was a good turnout of members for the July meeting and they spent more than an hour discussing events and planning ahead.
President Duane Esau announced the date for the Q125 Car Show. The event was to have been held on the Sunday of the Q125 celebration last month. However, weather forced the event to be postponed. Esau said the new date for the car show will be Saturday, Sept. 6, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the south side of Elgin City Park. Afterwards, there will be a “Cruise Night” in Elgin.
Preparations continue for the club’s summer lake party. Esau said the party this year will have a “Western” theme. Slated to be held on Friday, Aug. 8 at Kerkman’s Kove, the hoedown will feature beef brisket, cowboy baked beans, cucumbers and dessert. The club has obtained a liquor license for the event.
Setup for the hoedown will be Thursday evening, Aug. 7.
