Improvements Made At Elgin Field

With just a few action items on the agenda, the District #18 Board of Education spent much of their meeting discussing summer work projects and the approach of the 2014-2015 school year.
Superintendent Dan Polk and K-12 Principal Greg Wemhoff updated the board on a number of items during a meeting which lasted less than one hour.

On Tuesday night, July 7, after most Elgin residents had gone to bed, the new football field lights were turned on for the first time. Polk, board members Steve Heithoff and Robert Hoefer, along with Bruce Clark who installed the new lights, saw for the first time how the new lights lit up the field.
