Bloodmobile Exceeds Goal By 8 Units

The Elgin Red Cross Bloodmobile was held Wednesday, June 25. What a day!
The bloodmobile had a goal of 54 units and ended the day with 62 productive units.
Donors were Lee Bartak, Patricia Spieker, Chris Rubenthaler, Vicki Stigall, Keith Borer, Kyle Warren, Rita Ring, Steve Heithoff, Karin Kinney, Anna Meis, Steve Beckman, Bob Koenig, Sarah Schultz, Tyler Childers, Dan Baum, Mike Kerkman, Tracy Stamp, Zach Miller, Vicki Miller, William J. Eischeid, Duane Gunderson, Devon Baum, LeAnne Eggers, Baylie Schiltmeyer, Mark Salber, Lynn Yates, David Borer, Bill Alderson, Jamie Hupp and Lauren Selting.

In addition to the above 6 people, bloodmobile organizer Lori Widger said, “we recognized (through gallon award pins) several more people who had met gallon ‘milestones’ over the last 18 months, when the accurate count of units donated was not available to us.  Now that it has been corrected and we can properly thank those who’ve met various gallon milestones …  we recognized the following people when they arrived to donate at last week’s drive:

“There are about 40 other people who have met and exceeded gallon milestones over the last 18 months, and we would like to recognize them as they come in to donate at future drives,” Widger said.
The next bloodmobile in Elgin will be on Friday, August 22, at Elgin’s KC Hall from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. “Anyone who would like to preschedule to reserve the time they prefer can call me anytime between now and then at 402-843-0397,” Widger said.
