A complete record of these minutes as well as all resolutions and agreements are on file at the County Clerk’s office and are open to the public.
Those responding to roll call: Kerkman, Baker, Williby, Henery and Schwager.  Bolling and Brandt absent.
Heard from a representative with Vision Care Direct.
Approve the May 6th, 2014 and May 12th, 2014 board minutes.
Approved three permits to place permanent electric lines beneath various roads within the county.
Approved $100.00 petty cash for the county clerk’s cash drawer.
Denied the request from the Improvement Fund.
Approved the election payroll for the Primary election.
Approved leaving the NIRMA deductible at $,1000.00.
Discussed placing the Commissioner form of government on the General election ballot.
Approved paying the Nebraska Association of County officials dues for 2014/2015
Approved paying the NE Nebraska Economic Development dues for 2014/2015.
Supervisors Kerkman, Baker and Schwager will conduct the 2nd quarter jail inspection.
Denied all county auditor bids.
Moved both road closing agenda items to the June 10th, 2014 board meeting.
Approved erecting a stop sign to control south bound traffic at the intersection of 523rd Avenue and 835th Road and removing the stop sign controlling the west bound traffic at the same intersection.
Awarded the Clearwater South C-2(372) construction project to Klabenes Construction pending review of the bid numbers.
Discussed repairing three miles of 511 Avenue located 10 miles west of Elgin on the south side of Highway 14.
Went into closed session at 10:46 AM.  Discussed and addressed the personnel policy issue and complaint received at the May 12, 2014 meeting.  Went out of closed session at 11:12 AM.
Informed the county board that Madison County Attorney Joe Smith has been appointed as Special Prosecutor in the case against Supervisor Brandt.
Authorized the county attorney, assessor and treasurer to sign the TIF Agreement with The Willows.
No action taken on the sale of the two tracts of land the county owns in Frenchtown Township.
Approved hiring a part-time individual to help with the asphalt grinding machine and no change to the part-time road department’s wages.
Went into closed session at 11:31 AM.  Discussed investigative proceedings regarding possible criminal misconduct by county official.  Went out of closed session at 11:41 AM.
