Wolfpack Track Team Shines At O’Neill Invite

O’NEILL — The Wolfpack participated in their second track meet in three days, competing at the O’Neill Invite on Thursday.
The weather was conducive to good times and marks and the Wolfpack didn’t disappoint.
The girls team finished fourth in their division. They were led by Madi Voborny who won the 100 meter hurdles. A number of her teammates just missed out on winning ‘gold’ on this day.
For the boys, Blake Schrage led the Wolfpack with first place efforts in both the 110 and 300 meter hurdles.
In the girls team competition, Chambers/Wheeler Central won with a score of 105.5 points followed by Clearwater/Orchard 92, North Central 66, EPPJ 63.5, Wausa 58, Boyd County 40, Bloomfield 37, Ewing 27, Niobrara/Verdigre 21 and Elkhorn Valley 16.
For the boys team standings, Wausa was first with 116 points followed by North Central 94, Chambers/Wheeler Central 79, Elkhorn Valley 75, Bloomfield 56, EPPJ 50, Boyd County 31, Clearwater/Orchard 14, Niobrara/Verdigre 2, and Ewing 2.
