Glen Raymond Dinslage, age 66, was born in Tilden, Nebraska October 8, 1947.  He passed away peacefully on March 22, 2014 in his home surrounded by his family.
Glen is survived by Brenda (Warford) Dinslage, his loving wife of 35 years. His son Matthew Dinslage, of Springfield, Missouri; his daughter Melissa Joy of Pleasant Hope, Mo and her two daughters, Amanda Joy and Emma; also survived by his daughter Shelly Richardson and her husband Jonathan Richardson of Pleasant Hope, Mo., and their three daughters, Chelsey Richardson, Hailey Richardson and Shelby Richardson. Glen is survived by his sister Annie Mower and her husband Roger Mower of St. Charles, MO; his sister Jeanette Wirges and her husband Bill Wirges of Omaha, NE; his brother Robert Dinslage and his wife Rose Dinslage of Omaha, NE; his brother Steve Dinslage of Lincoln, NE and his brother Randy Dinslage and his wife Chris Dinslage of Elgin, NE.  Glen was blessed to have many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Glen is preceded in death by his father, Edward Dinslage, his mother Wilma (Petsche) Dinslage and a sister Joyce Dinslage.  Glen was baptized at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Elgin, Nebraska. He attended St. Boniface Elementary and High school.  He graduated from Wayne State College in 1970. Following college graduation, Glen worked for Kmart at various locations and states. In his 16th year of working for Kmart Corporation in Springfield, MO, he celebrated his 25 year anniversary.   He retired early from Kmart due to a serious illness.
While living and working in Fayetteville, Arkansas, he met Brenda.  Following a transfer through Kmart, they were married in Chicago, Illinois on December 22, 1978. They made their home in Hanover Park, Illinois before moving to Springfield, Missouri in 1981.  In 2007, they moved to Pleasant Hope, Missouri.
Glen enjoyed fishing, playing pool, golf, playing cards, and spending time with friends and family. Some of his greatest pleasures included fishing trips with his father and brothers, including an annual trip to Canada and back home to visit the family farm in Elgin, NE.  Many loving memories were made annually when the entire Dinslage family gathered from many states at a resort at Lake Pomme de Terre.
Services for Glen will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Condolences can be sent to Brenda Dinslage, 5489 South Anita Avenue, Pleasant Hope, MO  67525.
