Margaret McManaman
1933 —2014
Margaret “Midge” McManaman, 80, died Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Stanton Health Center.
Margaret was born July 26, 1933 to Henry and Elizabeth (Thiele) Schueth at Cedar Rapids, NE. The family moved to Superior, NE where Margaret started school.
In 1940 they moved to Elgin, NE where she attended and graduated from St. Boniface School. Margaret moved to Omaha after graduation to attend college, there she met John “Jack” McManaman and they were married October 7, 1961 in Omaha.
They settled in Norfolk where Margaret was a homemaker, an Administrative Assistant and Women’s Shelter Advocate.
Margaret is survived by her three children: David and Jennifer McManaman of Dallas, TX, Daniel McManaman of Dallas, Michelle Sohler of Norfolk; one grandson Brent Sohler of Norfolk; two brothers: James Schueth of Norfolk, Henry and Rosie Schueth of Elgin, NE; a sister Martha Coliannia of Lakewood, CO; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters and spouses: Delora and Martin Thomas, Agnes and Bill Lattin; a brother Florian Schueth, SDS; two brothers in infancy.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 12, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Norfolk. Burial was at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Norfolk.
