With Monday being the filing deadline for a number of elective offices, there were some last-minute filings at the Antelope County Courthouse.
Duane Miller has filed for the Ward I seat on the Elgin City Council. The seat has previously been held by Shirley Nissen who chose not to seek re-election this year after many years in that position. Antelope County Assessor Heather McWhorter will face a challenge from Kelly Mueller of Neligh who filed before the deadline. Both McWhorter and Mueller are Republicans.
