Some will call it a hobby, some might call it an obsession. Whatever you decide to call it, the description will likely include at least one of these words: “beautiful”, “awesome”, “wow”.
It is the model of St. Boniface Catholic Church built by Bill Parks of Elkhorn, NE.
Parks grew up in the Rural St. John’s parish area and knows the special love that rural residents have for their home churches. He obviously shares those feelings as he has dedicated so much of his time working on the project, perfecting every little detail.
Over eight years ago, while living in Petersburg, Parks began working on his tribute to the St. Boniface church here in Elgin.
