Jim died Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at his home in Bloomfield.
Jimmy Harvey “Jim” Eisenhauer, son of Harvey and Wanda (Tangeman) Eisenhauer, was born July 8, 1947, in Bloomfield, Nebraska. Jim was a life-long resident of Bloomfield, spending all of his time here except while serving in the United States Navy from 1965 to 1969. Upon returning home from Vietnam, Jim worked for Al Ermels in the Gambles Store. He then took a job working for the Department of Roads, where he proudly worked for 37 years. As a local business owner of “The Pub”, Jim could make friends with anybody who crossed his path. He always had a joke to tell and a smile on his face. The Friday before Memorial Day was always a highlight of Jim’s summer, the annual golf outing for the Phi Zappa Krappas! He will forever be remembered in so many ways: fast pitch softball third-base veteran; the jokester; an avid Husker fan; a father, uncle, brother, and Papa Jim. Jim passed away October 23, 2013, at the age of 66 years, three months, and 15 days. Jim leaves behind to mourn his loss his wife, Karen Eisenhauer of Bloomfield, Nebraska; son, Joel (Lindsey) Eisenhauer of Skiatook, Oklahoma; daughter, Jill Eisenhauer of Lincoln, Nebraska; and step-son, Chad (Jen) Warneke of Tilden, Nebraska; six grandchildren, Waylon, Easton, Katie, Keelee, Hayden, and Jaxton; a brother, Rodney (Juleen) Eisenhauer of Bloomfield; a sister, Genie (Denny) Larson of Norfolk, Nebraska; a host of nieces, nephews, and close friends; in-laws, Lee and Marie Smith of Elgin, Nebraska; and sister-in-law, Pam Smith of Orchard, Nebraska.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Harvey, and his mother, Wanda; and a brother-in-law, David Smith. Jim passed into the arms of Jesus on his father Harvey’s birthday. What a wonderful way to enter into the Everlasting Kingdom.
