Funeral Services for Fred H. Nolze age 94 of Clearwater, NE were at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 30, 2013 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater, NE with Pastor Fay Hubbard, Officiating.
Music was provided by Carol Thiele, Organist and Curtis Bolling, Soloist. Burial was in the Clearwater Cemetery with Military Rites by Clearwater American Legion Post #267.
Pallbearers were Brian Dixon, Craig Dixon, Jordon Kerkman, Justin Kerkman, Chris Uttecht, Jeremiah Nolze, Jared Nolze, Jarrod Long, Eric Doerr, and Luke Wescott.
Honorary Pallbearers were Dwaine Filsinger, Leo Starman, “Glenn” Buster Wolfe, Gary Miller, Earl Foster, Gerald Friedrich, Roy Klabenes, and Chuck Luedke.
Visitation was 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater.
Fred passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Golden Living Center in Neligh, Ne.

Fred Henry Nolze was born on October 12, 1918 to Ernie and Edith (Graham) Nolze at Clearwater, NE. He was baptized and confirmed at the Church of Christ. Fred attended school in Clearwater and graduated with the Class of 1937.
He then attended University of Nebraska Lincoln for 2 years on a basketball scholarship. He played baseball for the National Rifle Association which is now The Anaheim Angels for several years. On May 31, 1941 he was united into marriage to Shirley DePue in O’Neill, NE.
Fred then enlisted in the United States Navy on July 26, 1944. He was discharged on February 28, 1946. After returning from the service of WWII, Fred farmed and purchased Clearwater Implement and John Deere Dealerships in Clearwater and Nolze Implement in Neligh.
He operated these dealerships for many years until retiring and continued farming.
Fred enjoyed baseball, fishing, hunting, farming, and family.
He was a member of Clearwater American Legion, United Methodist Church, Clearwater Village Board, and School Board.
In 2011, Fred received the “Ag Family Year Award” from the Farm Bureau at the Nebraska State Fair.
He is survived by dearest friend, Caroline Jaeke. Daughter, Rochelle and husband Bill Dixon of Clearwater, NE. Son, Rick and wife Toni Nolze of Clearwater, NE. 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents and wife, Shirley. Siblings: Chi, Clarence, and Everett Nolze, and Elsie Lander.
