Agnes H. Starman, 86 of Elgin, NE passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the Golden Living Center in Neligh.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, April 20, at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Raeville with Rev. Michael Malloy officiating.
Burial followed in the parish cemetery.
Agnes Henrietta Starman, daughter of John B. and Clara (Henkenius) Moser, was born February 4, 1927 at Elgin.  She was baptized and confirmed at St. Boniface Church in Elgin, NE and attended St. Boniface High School graduating in 1945. Following graduation, she worked at the Elgin Drug Store. On January 31, 1950, Aggie married Leonard Gerhardt Starman at St. Boniface Church in Elgin, NE. They made their home on a farm near Raeville, NE where Agnes was a homemaker, raising their nine children.
In 1990, the couple moved to Elgin, NE. Aggie helped at the Petersburg Senior Center and the Elgin Community Center for many years. She entered the Golden Living Center in November 2012.
Aggie was a member of St. Bonaventure Church in Raeville, NE, St. Bonaventure Christian Mothers, and the Happy Kids Band.
She loved music, flowers, reading books, doing puzzles, the neighbor kids, the community center, and most of all spending time with her family.
Aggie is survived by nine children: Rose (Sam) Schaecher of Meadow Grove; Harold Starman of Petersburg; Carol (Jim) Schiltmeyer of Elgin; Marge (Elmer) Uehling of Grand Island; Steve (Beverly) Starman of Oakdale; Nancy (James) Zwingman of Elgin; Vet (Vicki) Starman of Fairbanks, AK; Susan Starman of Grand Island; Larry (Tammy) Starman of Oakdale; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Genny Henn of Elgin; Clara Jensen of Stanton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Leonard in 2003; two grandchildren: Chris Schaecher and Shari Schiltmeyer; and one son-in-law: Laddie Tomka.
