School District #18 is one step closer to hiring a new K-12 principal.
Superintendent Dan Polk announced Friday that Greg Wemhoff from Battle Creek Public Schools has signed a contract to become principal at EPS for the 2013-2014 school year. The school board, scheduled to meet Wednesday night, must approve the contract to make it official.
Wemhoff, 41, has served the past six years as a coach, physical education instructor and activities director at Battle Creek. His wife, Joyce, is a pre-school teacher at the school. Both are Humphrey natives. They have three children.
