Two students headed to school are very lucky Thursday morning following a car-pedestrian accident on Cedar Street. According to Antelope County Sheriff Bob Moore, a car, driven by Stephanie Bode of Elgin, was eastbound on Cedar Street as was the pedestrian, Shelby Dohmen of Elgin. The accident report notes that low visibility due to the bright sun obstructed a clear view of the street. Moore said the car sustained no damage and Dohmen was transported by the Elgin Rescue Squad to Boone County Health Center in Albion where she was treated and released.
