NORFOLK — Dreams and goals for EPPJ players and coaches came crashing down Thursday night when Lutheran High Northeast upset the top-seeded Wolfpack in the C2-6 subdistrict basketball final.
The Wolfpack (14-11) never led in the game as Mandi Uecker scored 28 points to lead the Lady Eagles to an upset victory and end the Wolfpack’s season.
“The girls started off slow in the first quarter but did a great job of battling their way back in the second quarter,” Coach Randy Eisenhauer said. “The second half we just couldn’t keep the momentum going but they finished hard.”
