PJCC Wins NVC One-Act Competition

Last week the Niobrara Valley Conference held their one-act play competition.
Taking home top honors from the event was Pope John Central Catholic High School. Their performance of ‘The Penny Dreadfuls’ earned first place honors as determined by judges at the event.
Named the NVC Outstanding Actress was Jenny Beckman.
Earning actress honors at the competition were Jill Moser, Natalie Beckman, Jenny Beckman, Allison Beckman, Casey Pelster and Devon Baum. Zach Eischeid was recognized in the ‘actor’ category.
The team will next compete at districts to be held Nov. 26 at Wayne State College.
Peggy Payne served as director of the play.
Elgin High Competes
Also competing at NVC’s was Elgin High School. Receiving recognition for their efforts were Juliana Dunn, Ivy Prater, Sharla Schindler, Hunter Thramer, Ashlyn DeWald, Katie Polk, Tyler Smith and Brett Kinney.
