District #18 Superintendent Steve Dennis has been hired to fill the same position at another school district in Nebraska.
Dennis said last week he has accepted the position of superintendent at Wilcox-Hildreth School District. A member of the Fort Kearny Conference, the school district is located southeast of Holdrege.
The school district is classified as Class D-1 by the Nebraska School Activities Association.
Dennis said he and his wife, who is a school teacher in Ord, will look to re-locate in that part of the state.
He said he was offered the position late last week.
Dennis was hired by the District #18 Board of Education to serve as EPS superintendent in April 2009. When his contract expires at the end of June, Dennis will have served three years as superintendent at EPS. Dennis was hired to replace interim superintendent Lee Hall.
He submitted his resignation to the District #18 school board at their regular meeting in December 2011.
