Wolfpack Let Fourth Quqrter Lead Slip Away Against Stuart

STUART — Victory slipped through the Wolfpack’s fingers Friday night as Stuart dealt the Wolfpack their sixth loss of the season by a score of 39 to 34.

Elgin Public-Pope John held a two point lead, 26 to 24, entering the fourth quarter. But, the final eight minutes of the game belonged to Stuart as they outscored the Wolfpack 15 to 8 to claim the victory.

Points were hard to come by for both teams as the score was tied 16-all at halftime. Then, in the third quarter the Wolfpack outscored their opponent 10 to eight to take the lead.

Ryan Larabee led Stuart with 14 points. He was the only player on either team to score in double figures.

The Wolfpack were led in scoring by Nash Schindler and Evan Parks, each tallying eight points.
