The event was a sellout and attendees proved to be generous for the annual “Evening With Friends” fundraiser for Pope John XXIII Central Catholic High School. This year’s theme was “Tropical Escape” and thats just what the crowd needed as estimates of 7-8 inches of snow coated the Elgin area on Saturday and Sunday.
