Emergency Meeting Proceedings

The Elgin City Council met for an emergency meeting on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at the Elgin City Hall. Notice of said meeting had been posted at three places, namely, U.S. Post Office, Dean’s Market, and the Elgin City Hall, as prescribed by law.

Mayor Schmitt called the meeting to order at 11:00 a.m. and announced the location of the Open Meeting Act.

Council members present were Jim Kittelson, Don Mackel, and Shirley Nissen. Councilman Kenny Jochum was absent.

Also present was Don E. Poulsen, Vicki S. Miller, Jennifer Tharnish, John Zwingman, Bob Moser, Denny Duer, and Brian Fitzgerald.

Purpose of said meeting was to discuss plans for a fire storage building with the City Engineer and architect Denny Duer, so an estimated cost could be obtained.

Following the discussion, measurements and inspection of the site were taken.

A complete and accurate copy of the minutes are available for public inspection at the City Clerk’s office during normal business hours.

Meeting ended at 11:45 a.m.
