Laura M. Salber

1935 – 2010

Laura Mae Salber, daughter of Alphonse and Helen (Kramper) Borer, was born June 13, 1935 at Cornlea, NE. She attended St. John’s School in Petersburg, NE.

She was united in marriage with Raymond Salber on August 24, 1953. The couple farmed in the Petersburg area until moving to the Albion area in 1955.

Laura enjoyed playing cards, reading, and spending time with family.

Laura, 75, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2010, at Cloverlodge Care Center. She is survived by four sons: Don and wife Kathy of Albion; Dennis of Grand Island; Dan and wife Christy of Albion; Doug of Albion; six daughters: Mrs. Jim (Diane) Molt of Albion; Mrs. Paul (Debra) Kyncl of Albion; Doris Kolm of Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Gary (Darlene) Dethlefs of Rockville; Mrs. Mike (Donna) Pfeifer of Lindsay; Mrs. Mark (Delora) Clemen of Greene, IA; 28 grandchildren; one great-granddaugther; three brothers: Leonard Borer of Elgin; Alvin Borer of Phoenix, AZ; Kenny Borer of Council Bluffs, IA; one sister: Marlene Petzold of Elm Creek, NE.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ray in March 2010, two brothers: Ed and Norman; and one son-in-law Kevin Kolm.

Funeral services were held Friday, December 24, 2010, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Albion, NE. Officiating were Fr. Stan Schmit and Fr. Jim Novotny. Burial was at St. Michael’s Cemetery.
